This section is made up of a series of articles prepared by people who have a knowledge of the hobby. Sometimes experimenting with different things or ideas is the only way to learn. The other way is to learn is from people who have done it.

To me this hobby has something for everyone, perhaps its carpentry, or sculpting, maybe you just enjoy painting. You might have an interest in electronics. Or you just like to tinker with miniatures. Well with model railroading you have it all. Perhaps that is why it’s often been referred to as "The World's Greatest Hobby".

Even though this is an online hobby shop I would also hope you will look at it as a source for useful information. Please feel free to ask questions. If you’re an old hand at the hobby and wish to share some of your secrets please send them to me and I will publish them here so they can be shared with others.

One of my customers, Jerry Grafton, of Victor Creek Models, a master model builder. He has offered to write first articles for this section. The topic he chose was on Weathering Rolling stock.
